fowl, as fixed by Section 279, and those days prior to the first-
day of January, shall be Monday, Wednesday, Friday and
on and after the first day of January, shall be Monday, Wed-
nesday, Friday and Saturday, until the end of the season for
shooting wild fowl as aforesaid; and, each of the said
days shall be comprehended the time intervening between one
hour before sunrise and sunset of the days aforesaid, and no
more; and said time shall not include any part or period of
night; and any person on conviction of the violation of this
Section, shall be fined not less than Fifty ($50. 00) Dollars
and not more than One Hundred ($100. 00) Dollars.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect on June 1st, 1916.

CHAPTER 90.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to defray the expenses
of the interment of the bodies of deceased soldiers, sailors
and marines who served in the United States or Confederate
States Army or Navy, between the years 1861-1865.
WHEREAS, The ranks of the men who fought in the service
of the United States and Confederate States, between the years
1861-1865, are fast being depleted and the number of the old
soldiers and sailors passing away is largely increasing; and,
WHEREAS, The burden upon the survivors in providing a
decent burial for those that pass away without leaving any
estate is becoming too great to be borne by them; now, there-
fore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the expense of the interment of the bodies of
deceased soldiers, sailors and marines who served in the United
States or Confederate States Army or Navy, between the years
1861-1865, and were honorably discharged, shall be paid by
the State of Maryland; provided, the expense of said interment
shall not exceed in any one case more than thirty-five dollars;
and provided, that said expenses shall only be borne by the
State of Maryland in the event that such deceased soldier,
sailor or marine left no estate, and that the death occurred in
the State of Maryland.
