CHAPTER 647.
AN ACT to return to Joseph D. Rothschild certain auctioneer's
license fees, covering the period from the time of the sur-
render of the license to the end of the term for which it
was issued.
WHEREAS, Joseph D. Rothschild of Baltimore City, was,
in accordance with Sections 240 and 241 of the Baltimore
City Charter, on the fourth day of November, 1914, appointed
an auctioneer for Baltimore City, for the period of two years
and paid to the Treasurer of Maryland, the sum of three hun-
dred and ninety-seven dollars ($397. 00) for his license; and
WHEREAS, Said Joseph D. Rothschild tendered his resigna-
tion under said appointment and the same was. accepted on
December 16, 1914.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the said Joseph D. Rothschild be reimbursed in the
sum of three hundred and ninety-seven dollars ($397. 00) for
the proportional part of the term that said auctioneer's license
was unused and cancelled, that is to say for the period of ap-
proximately ten and one-half months.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Comptroller of the
State be authorized and directed to draw his warrant on the
State Treasurer for the sum of three hundred and ninety-seven
dollars ($397. 00) in favor of the said Joseph D. Rothschild.

CHAPTER 648.
AN ACT to add a new and additional Sections to Article 81
of the Annotated Code of Public Civil Laws of Maryland,
title "Revenue and Taxes, " sub-title "Bonus Tax on Capital
Stock. " Such new and additional Section to follow imme-
diately after Section 106 of said Article 81, to be known
as Section 106A, and to read as follows:
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new and additional Section be added to
Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Public Civil Laws of
Maryland, title "Revenue and Taxes, " sub-title "Bonus Tax on
