used for the sale of the same, shall not be taken from the cus-
tody of the officer by writ of replevin or other process while the
proceedings herein provided are pending, and final judgment
of conviction in such proceedings shall be in all cases a bar to all
suits for the recovery of any liquor seized or the value of the
same, or for damages alleged to arise by reason of the seizing
and detention thereof. (I) The word "Liquor" when used in
this Section shall be construed to include the vessel containing
the same, the phrase '' Means used for the sale of'' shall include
all furniture, implements or paraphernalia of a bar room or
drinking saloon or any part of same, and any United States In-
ternal Revenue stamp for the business of dealing in liquors for
the period of time covering the alleged offense.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 562.

AN ACT to require and regulate sewer connections in the towns
and villages of Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That any person or corporation desiring to tap, connect
with or open for the purposes of repair, any public sewer in the
towns and villages of Anne Arundel County, upon any street
which has not been paved, or which is paved with rubber stone,
may do so upon the the following conditions: Said applicant
shall file with the Clerk to the County Commissioners a petition
addressed to the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County, giving the name of the street to be opened, the exact
location of the place to be opened, the number of days it will
take to complete the work, and a clause guaranteeing that the
applicant will within the time specified place the street bed in
as good condition as it was before the opening of said sewer, and
that in making said connection he or it will not in any manner
damage the County sewer, and that in the event of the street,
at the point where said sewer is laid, settling or sinking by
reason of said opening, he will cause the same to be repaired to
the satisfaction of the County Road Engineer without cost to the
County. Said petition when received shall be referred to the
County Road Engineer for his approval, and upon such ap-
proval and the payment of one dollar to the Clerk to the County
