SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 535.
AN ACT to permit the killing of doves in Frederick County,
Maryland, from July 31st to October 1st, in each year.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall be lawful to shoot and kill doves in Frederick
County, Maryland, from the 31st day of July to October 1st, in
each year.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That it shall be unlawful
for any person to catch, kill, shoot or destroy any dove in Fred-
erick County, Maryland, between the 30th day of September,
and the 1st day of August, in each year, and every person con-
victed of violating the provisions of this Section, before any
Justice of the Peace, shall be fined two dollars for each dove so
caught, killed, shot or destroyed, and in default of the payment
of such fine, shall be sentenced to the County Jail for not less
than one nor more than thirty days; any acts inconsistent here-
with are hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 536.
AN ACT for the subscription, by the State of Maryland to the
Calendar of Wills.
WHEREAS, The said Mrs. Jane Baldwin Cotton has compiled,
Maryland has subscribed to five volumes of "The Maryland
Calendar of Wills," compiled and published by Mrs. Jane Bald-
win Cotton, formerly Mrs. Jane Baldwin; and
WHEREAS, The said Mrs. Jane Baldwin Cotton has compiled
published and delivered to the State the first three volumes of
said "Maryland Calendar of Wills," from 1635 to 1713; and it
appearing that this work cannot be completed in the remaining
two volumes subscribed for by the State, and the said Mrs. Jane
