800 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Any vacancy which may exist in the delegation of any of
such parties to any such national convention shall be filled in
the manner prescribed by Section 160-K with respect to the
filling of vacancies.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly

. of Maryland, That Section 160-G 2 of Article 33 of the Code of

Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Elections" sub-title

"Primary Elections" as enacted by Chapter 554 of the Acts

of 1912, be and the same is hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 476.

AN ACT to erect a suitable monument in the City of Baltimore
to commemorate the heroism, devotion and self-sacrifice of
the women of Maryland in their service to the wounded Con-
federate soldiers who came under their care in the War
between the States, 1861-5.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of twelve thousand dollars be and the same
is hereby appropriated out of any money in the Treasury of
Maryland not otherwise appropriated for the erection of a
suitable monument in the City of Baltimore to commemorate
the heroism, devotion and self-sacrifice of the women of Mary-
land in their service to the wounded Confederate soldiers who
came under their care in the War between the States, 1861-5.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Andrew C. Trippe,
James R. Wheeler, R. Curzon Hoffman, Bartlett S. Johnson and
Thomas B. Gresham be and they hereby are constituted a Com-
mission to select a suitable design for said memorial and also
a proper site for the same.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That upon the exhibit of
properly authenticated voucher from the said Monument Com-
mission hereby authorized, the Comptroller of the Treasury for
the State of Maryland is hereby authorized and directed to
draw his warrant upon the Treasurer of Maryland for the pay-
merit of the same.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall taker
effect from the date of its passage.
