the excess over said sum of five hundred ($500) dollars shall be
paid over by said Sealer of Weights and Measures to the Board
of County Commissioners, to be used by it in defraying the gen-
eral expenses of the County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That any person or per-
sons who shall be guilty of a violation of the provisions of this
Act shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof, shall be subject to fine of not less than twenty-five ($25)
dollars in the discretion of the Justice of the Peace in the Court
before whom the case is tried.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 448.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of
dredging the Pocomoke River from Snow Hill in Maryland to
the dividing line between the State of Maryland and Delaware,
and also a turn of money for the purpose of dredging Ma-
rumsco Creek in Somerset County, Maryland.

CHAPTER 449.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 1 of
Chapter 360 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at its January Session of 1906, entitled An Act to en-
courage Horticulture and appropriate a sum of money to the
Peninsula Horticultural Society.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 1 of Chapter 360 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at its January session 1906, en-
titled an act to encourage Horticulture and appropriate a sum
of money to the Peninsula Horticulture Society, be repealed and
re-enacted, so as to read as follows:
That the sum of One Thousand Dollars be appropriated an-
nually for the use of the Peninsula Horticultural Society, and
that the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is hereby author-
ized and directed to draw his warrant upon the Treasurer an-
