CHAPTER 433.
AN ACT to repeal Section 2 of Article 5 of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland, title "Appeals and Errors," sub-
title '' Appeals from Courts of Law,'' and to re-enact the same
with amendments so as to dispense with the necessity for sum-
mons and severance of joint plaintiffs or defendants in cases
at law.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 2 of Article 5 of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland, title "Appeals and Errors," sub-title "Ap-
peals from Courts of Law,'' be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
2. From any judgment or determination of any court of law
in any civil suit or action or in any prosecution for the recovery
of any penalty or fine or damages, any party may appeal to the
Court of Appeals; and such appeal may be taken with or with-
out the assent or joinder of co-plaintiffs or co-defendants in
such appeal.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall go
into effect on September 1st, 1914.

CHAPTER 434.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Commissioners of Greens-
boro to erect, build, work, maintain and keep in repair water
works and a plant for same in the Town of Greensboro, Caro-
line County, Maryland, and to issue and sell its bonds, to an
amount not exceeding twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00),
to provide funds for that purpose, and to provide for the pay-
ment of the said bonds and interest thereon, subject, however,
to the vote of the qualified voters of the said town of Greens-
boro.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Commissioners of Greensboro be authorized and
