CHAPTER 406.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Section 4, of
Article 45 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland of
1904, title "Husband and Wife."
WHEREAS, Under the existing Section 4 of Article 45 of the
Code of Public General Laws of 1904, a married woman under
eighteen years of age may sell and convey her real and leasehold
property, if her husband unites in the conveyance, but appar-
ently a married woman between the ages of eighteen and twenty-,
one years cannot convey her property even if her husband unites
in the conveyance; and whereas it is not deemed desirable to
authorize females, whether married or single, to convey their
property if they are under the age of twenty-one years; for
which reason it is proper to repeal that portion of the said Sec-
tion 4 of Article 45 which authorizes conveyances by a married
woman under the age of eighteen years.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 4 of Article 45 of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland of 1904, title "Husband and Wife," be and
the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
so as to read as follows:
4. Married women shall hold all their property of every
description for their separate use, as fully as if they were un-
married, and shall have all the power to dispose of by deed,
mortgage, lease, will or any other instruments that husbands
have to dispose of their property, and no more.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to prohibit vagabonds, gypsies, habitual beggars and
vagrants within Worcester County.
