where a jury trial is prayed by the State, the Justice shall take
from the accused his recognizance with sufficient security con-
ditional for his personal appearance to answer said charge at the
then session (if there be a session) of the Circuit Court for Tal-
bot County, or the next session of said Court, if it be not then
in session; and in default of the accused entering into such
recognizance, the Justice shall commit him to jail for his ap-
pearance at such Court to answer such charge, and the said
Justice shall return said recognizance (if there be one) or com-
mitment, with the names of and residences of the witnesses for
the prosecution endorsed thereon forthwith to the Clerk of
«aid Court (who shall place such case on the Appeal Docket of
said Court and issue subpoenas for the witnesses named by the
Justice, and the case shall then be tried in said Court on the
information or warrant.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all Acts or parts of Acts
inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be and the same
are hereby repealed so far as the same may be inconsistent
herewith.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 386.
AN ACT making appropriations for the support of the State
Government for the fiscal year ending on the thirtieth day
of September, nineteen hundred and fifteen.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That for the expenditures in the support of the State
Government for the fiscal year beginning with the first day of
October, nineteen and fourteen, and ending with the thirtieth
day of September, nineteen hundred and fifteen, the following
sums of money, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be and
the same are hereby appropriated, that is to say:
FOR STATE OFFICERS.
For the salary of the Governor, four thousand five hundred
dollars; for the salary of the Secretary of State, two thousand
dollars; for the salary of the Chief Clerk to the Governor,
twenty-four hundred dollars; for the salary of one clerk to the
Governor, two thousand dollars; for the salaries of two clerks
