alty and with the conditions as now provided for Tax Collec-
tors' bonds by Section 32, of Article 81, of the Code of Public
General Laws of the State of Maryland, with personal or cor-
porate surety or sureties to be approved by the County Com-
missioners, except that the penalty in the said bond of said
Collector for the collection of the County taxes for the
First Tax Collection District shall be in the sum of
Fifty Thousand Dollars; the penalty in the bond of
said Collector for the collection of County Taxes for
the Second Tax Collection District shall be in the sum
of Forty Thousand Dollars; and the penalty in the bond
of said Collector, for the collection of County taxes
for the Third Tax Collection District shall be in the
sum of Thirty Thousand Dollars; and the said County
Commissioners at their April session in the year 1914,
and in each year thereafter, shall, before said Collectors
enter upon the performance of their duties, fix the salary or
compensation of each of said Collectors for the ensuing year, to
be paid by the Commissioners, and not retained out of the col-
lections by the Collector, which amount so fixed by the said
Commissioners, shall be in full of all compensation of every
kind to be paid the said Collectors for collecting the State and
County taxes, so placed in their hands for collection from year
to year, and Section 31, of Article 81, of the Code of Public
General Laws, so far as the same relates to Allegany County,
is hereby repealed, except as hereinbefore provided; and the
salary or compensation shall be upon a commission basis to be
determined by the Commissioners; and shall be payable in
monthly installments only on taxes collected and paid over,
one-third of which shall be retained or withheld by the Com-
missioners until final settlement by the respective Collectors
with the said Commissioners.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 359.

AN ACT to direct the County Commissioners of Frederick
County to borrow money on the credit of said County to pur-
chase or condemn real estate and pay for the erection of a new
building or buildings for a public school in Thurmont, in Elec-
