SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon the Treasurer
of the State for the sum of twenty-two hundred dollars in
favor of Clarence W. Perkins, and the said Treasurer is hereby
authorized and directed to pay to the said Clarence W. Perkins
the said sum of twenty-two hundred dollars for his legal ser-
vices in the prosecution of the said suits of the State of Mary-
lan versus George Warfield, William H. Green, George W. Pad-
gett, and Robert J. Padgett, formerly Sheriffs of Baltimore City,
the said claim having been approved by the Comptroller of the
Treasury as authorized by Section 52 of Article 3 of the
Constitution; provided, however, said sum of twenty-two hun-
dred dollars shall be in full settlement, release and acquaintance
of all claims and demands of any kind whatsoever against the
State of Maryland or the parties named herein, formerly
Sheriffs of Baltimore City.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 357.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 3 and
7 of Chapter 514 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, 1910, being an Act to incorporate the town of
Mount Ranier, Prince George's County, Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 3 and 7 of Chapter 514 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, 1910, being an Act to incorpor-
ate the town of Mount Ranier, Prince George's County, Mary-
land, be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments so as to read as follows:
SECTION 3. All male citizens of said town of twenty-one
years of age or over who have actually resided in said town 365
days next preceding any election in said town of Mount Ranier,
and who have never been convicted of any infamous crime under
the laws of the State of Maryland, and who shall come within
any one of the three following classes of male citizens: (1) All
duly naturalized citizens; (2) male children of naturalized citi-
zens who have reached the age of twenty-one years; (3) all citi-
