of Frederick County, or in any other court having jurisdiction
in the premises, his office shall be deemed to be vacant, and said
Board of Aldermen shall thereupon appoint some other person
having the qualifications hereinbefore prescribed for the office of
City Register, to fill out the unexpired term of the person so
convicted. The term of office of the person so elected City
Register shall begin on the first Monday next after his election
and he shall continue in office until his successor in office is duly
elected and qualified.
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 353.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendment Section 22-A
of Chapter 149 of the Acts of 1914, entitled An Act to add a
new Section to Article 5 of Bagby's Annotated Code of
Public Civil Laws of Maryland, title "Appeals and Errors,"
sub-title '' Appeals from Courts of Law,'' by the addition of a
new Section, to be known as Section 22-A, and to come imme-
diately after Section 22-A.

CHAPTER 354.
AN ACT to repeal Section 627 of Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title '' City of Baltimore,'' sub-title '' Justices of
the Peace and Constables," as the same was amended by
Chapter 823 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
of 1912, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 627 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Jus-
tices of the Peace and Constables," as the same was amended
by Chapter 823 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1912, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments so as to read as follows:
SEC. 627. Every writ, warrant, summons or other process
issued by any Justice of the Peace shall be made returnable
