publication and ending twenty days after said publication,
shall make its determination in writing with reference to said
protest, which determination shall be open to public inspection;
and any person who has thus protested, or any other person
interested in said determination may, within a period beginning
twenty days after said first publication and ending thirty days
after said first publication, appeal in writing to a board composed
of the four City officials now constituting the Board of Public Im-
provements, against said determination of said Sewerage Com-
mission with reference to said protest, and said board so com-
posed, within a period beginning thirty days after said first
publication and ending forty days after said first publication,
shall make its decision with reference to said protest, which de-
cision, as above mentioned, shall be final and binding upon said
Sewerage Commission and the party or parties appealing or
protesting.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 324.

AN ACT to add six new and additional Sections to Article 23 of
the Annotated Code of Public Civil Laws of Maryland (legal-
ized by Chapter 21 of the Acts of the General" Assembly of
1912), title "Corporations," said six new and additional Sec-
tions to come in after Section 88 of said Article 23, and to be
known respectively as Sections 88-A, 88-B, 88-C, 88-D, 88-E
and 88-F of said Article, the said new and additional Sections
relating to bonus, capital stock, property and franchise taxes,
upon and respecting corporations referred to in this Act, and
to repeal all other laws and Sections and all other parts of
laws and Sections so far as the same or any of the same "may
conflict or be inconsistent with the provisions of this Act.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That six new and additional Sections be and the same are
hereby added to Article 23 of the Annotated Code of Public
Civil Laws of Maryland (legalized by Chapter 21 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of 1912) title "Corporations," said
new and additional Sections to come in immediately after Sec-
