410 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 8-A. Be it further enacted, That if the said Board of
County School Commissioners of Baltimore County shall not
be able to agree with the owners of any property of any kind
wanted for use in connection with any such school buildings
or land upon which the same may be erected, they may con-
demn the same in the manner provided by the Public General
Laws of Maryland for condemnation of private property for
public use.

SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That all Acts and parts
of Acts, laws and parts of laws inconsistent with this Act, or
any part thereof, be and the same are hereby repealed to the
extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 10. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall be
taken and construed as an entire Act and plan.

SEC. 11. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 276.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the State Roads Commission
of Maryland to build, construct and maintain State Road
Number One with any previous or subsequent appropriation
through or around the town of Elk Ridge, and at such grade
as to it may seem suitable and proper, and to further define
its powers in reference to such building, construction and
maintenance through the town of Elk Ridge and elsewhere
along said State Road Number One, and to repeal all Acts or
parts of Acts inconsistent herewith.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Roads Commission of Maryland be, and the
same is hereby authorized and empowered to build, construct
and maintain State Road Number One with any previous or
subsequent appropriation through or around the town of Elk
Ridge, and at such grade as to it may seem suitable and proper,
and that it shall have the same rights and powers in reference
to the acquisition of land and material, and in reference to the
construction and maintenance of said State Road Number One
through or around the town of Elk Ridge and elsewhere along
its route, and as its general rights and powers under the law in
