pointed, consisting of ten to be appointed by the Governor, five
to be appointed by the President of the Senate, one of whom
shall be himself, five to be appointed by the Speaker of the
House of Delegates, one of whom shall be himself, and the re-
maining five of said Commissioners shall be selected by the other
twenty from the leading banking, mercantile, industrial or
agricultural representative men of the State; all of said Com-
missioners so selected and designated shall be appointed and
commissioned by the Governor of the State.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the sum of $75,000
or so much thereof as may be necessary, shall be and the same
is hereby appropriated, to be used for the purposes set forth
in the preamble of this Act, in order that Maryland may be
properly represented at said Panama-Pacific International Ex-
position, and the Comptroller of the State is hereby authorized
and directed to draw his warrant on the Treasurer of the State,
for the payments of such requisitions, to the extent of this ap-
propriation, as may from time to time be made upon him by
the said Commission, said requisition to be signed by the Chair-
man of the said Commission, and be countersigned by its Treas-
urer, to be accompanied by the estimate of the expenses for
which the money so drawn is to be applied. Said Commission
shall be authorized to elect its own Chairman, Secretary and
Treasurer, and an Executive Committee of five.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 271.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 2, 3, 5, 6 and 10 of Chapter 30 of the
Acts of 1798, entitled "An Act to Incorporate the Baptist
Church in the City of Baltimore," and to re-enact the same
with amendments, and to add a new Section thereto to be
known as Section 11.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 2, 3, 5, 6 and 10 of Chapter 30 of the Acts
of 1798, entitled, "An Act to Incorporate the Baptist Church
in the City of Baltimore,'' be and the same are hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments, and a new Section be and is
hereby added, to follow in order said Section 10 as re-enacted,
