372 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 261.

AN ACT to add a new Section to the Code -of Public General
Laws of Maryland, Article 33, title "Elections," sub-title
"Primary Elections," as the same was amended by the Act
of 1912, Chapters 2 and 134, to be numbered 160 G-l, and to
follow Section 160-G.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That there is hereby added to Article 33 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Elections," sub-title
"Primary Elections," as the same was amended by the Act of
1912, Chapters 2 and 134, a new Section to be numbered 160 G-1,
to follow Section 160-G, and to read as follows:

160-G-1. In the event that the name of any candidate who
shall have made a deposit with the Supervisors of Elections,
as hereinabove provided, shall not appear on the official ballot
at said primary election, by reason of there being no opposing
candidate, such candidate shall not be entitled to a return of
his deposit, but the same shall be retained by the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore; or the County Commissioners of the
County to which the same shall have been paid by the Super-
visors of Elections, and used in defraying the expenses of such
primary election.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 1st, 1914.

CHAPTER 262.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact Section 2 of Chapter 24 of the
Acts of Assembly of 1798, entitled "An Act for the establish-
ment of vestries for each Parish ia this State," in so far as
the same affects Saint Philip's Parish of the Protestant Epis-
copal Church in Prince George's County, Maryland, and pre-
scribing the qualification of electors of vestrymen for said
Parish.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That in so far as the same affects Saint Philip's Parish of
the Protestant Episcopal Church in Prince George's County,
Maryland, Section 2 of Chapter 24 of the Acts of 1798 be and
the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as
follows:
