for Worcester County upon conviction of wilful neglect of duty,
misdemeanor or malfeasance in office, and said conviction shall
be based upon presentment and indictment by the Grand Jury
of Worcester County.

SEC. 30. And be it enacted, That the County Commissioners
shall appoint and furnish the Treasurer an office in the Court
House for the transaction of his official business, which office
shall be the County Commissioners' office, and the said office
shall be open for that purpose each day of the year, Sunday and
legal holidays excepted, from nine o 'clock A. M. to four P. M.

SEC. 31. And be it enacted, That the provisions of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland now in force or hereafter
enacted, applicable to collectors of State and County taxes, ex-
cept when the same are repealed by or inconsistent with the
provisions of this Act shall be held to apply to the Treasurer
of said County, who, as to his power, rights, duties, and liabili-
ties, both civil and criminal and those affecting his bond or
bondsmen shall be in all respects in the same position as State

and County Collectors of Taxes, except as herein provided.

SEC. 32. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer shall at least
once in each year, correct the list of transfers on the tax books
of the County, in accordance with the list furnished by the
Clerk of the Circuit Court for said County, this correction to
be made not exceeding thirty days before the time set for the
making of the annual levy.

SEC. 33. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts of
Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby re-
pealed so far as they apply to Worcester County.

SEC. 34. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of April in the year 1915; and the said
County Commissioners for Worcester County shall on or before
the said first day of April, 1915, appoint some person eligible
and qualified for election as County Treasurer under the pro-
visions hereof who shall be the County Treasurer of Worcester
County, and who shall serve as County Treasurer aforesaid
until the first day of January, 1916, or until the County Treas-
urer duly elected by the qualified voters of Worcester County
at the General Election in November, 1915, shall qualify; and
the person so appointed by the County Commissioners as afore-
said shall (except as to the duration of his term of office) be
subject to all the provisions of this Act; and provided that
nothing herein contained is intended or shall be construed to
