or structure where property of any kind is stored; provided,
however, that a lot or parcel of land with or without any build-
ing or structure thereon, which lot or parcel of land is en-
closed with a fence, or otherwise, shall be considered to be a
warehouse, if bulky or heavy property is stored thereon.
SEC. 2. And be it further enact ed, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage...

CHAPTER 148.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with an amendment, Section 239
of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Somerset County," sub-title "Sheriff," relating to
allowance to be made by the County Commissioners of Somer-
set County, to the Sheriff of said County, for the keeping of
prisoners, committed to their care.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 239 'of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title '' Somerset County,'' sub-title '' Sheriff,''
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with an
amendment to read as follows:
SEC. 239. The Sheriff of Somerset County shall receive for
the keeping of prisoners, committed to his custody, and for their
victuals, the sum of forty-five cents per head per day, and the
County Commissioners shall in no case allow a greater com-
pensation.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 5 of Bagby's Annotated
Code of the Public Civil Laws of Maryland, title "Appeals and
Errors," sub-title "Appeals from Courts of Law," by the ad-
dition of a new Section to be known as Section 22-A and to
come immediately after Section 22.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new Section be, and the same is hereby added to
