180 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Chesapeake City, in Cecil County, and crossing Long Creek and
extending thence in a northerly direction to the public road lead-
ing to Welsh Point in said County; and

WHEREAS, In order to make said new public road laid out and
opened as aforesaid available for travel by the public it is neces-
sary that a bridge be constructed across said Long Creek.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the right is hereby granted to the County Commis-
sioners of Cecil County, to construct, or to authorize the con-
struction by such person or persons as they may designate to
construct, and maintain a wooden high way bridge across said
Long Creek in the Second Election District of said Cecil County

out and opened
crosses said Long Creek, which point is approximately eight
hundred (800) feet from the intersection of said Long Creek
with Back Creek, and to construct and maintain the necessary
approaches thereto, which said bridge may be of the closed type
of construction, but which said bridge at the centre of the chan-
nel of said Long Creek shall have a clearance or head room of
not less than eight feet above mean high water in said Long
Creek.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 140.

AN ACT to repeal Section 97-Y of Article 21 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title '' Talbot" County,'' sub-
title "Easton," as passed by the General Assembly of Mary-
land at the January Session of 1906, Chapter 458, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 97-Y of Article 21 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Talbot County," sub-title "Eas-
ton," as passed by the General Assembly of Maryland at the
January Session of 1906, Chapter 458, be and the same is here-
by repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as
follows:

97-Y. All elective officers of the town of Easton shall, at
the date of their election, be qualified voters thereof. All ap-
