PHILLIPS LEE GOLDSBOROUGH, GOVERNOR. 1755

SEC. (11) And be it enacted, That this Act shall be adver-
tised in the newspapers published in Calvert County for two
months preceding the next election for members of the House
of Delegates, and be subject to the approval of a majority of
all the members elected to each House of the General Assembly
of Maryland at its next session after the passage of this Act.
And it is hereby made the duty of the said County Commis-
sioners of Calvert County and they are hereby directed to have
this Act published as required by this Section.

SEC. (11 A.) And be it enacted, That in the event that the
Baltimore and Virginia Railroad Company shall fail to comply
with the provisions imposed on it by this Act, that then and
in that event any other railroad company incorporated under
the laws of the State of Maryland, which shall comply with
the conditions provided in this bill shall, be settled to receive
the money arising from the bond issue subject to all of the
provisions imposed upon the Baltimore and Virginia Railroad
Company.

SEC. (12) And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AND WHEREAS, By Section 54 of Article 3 of the Constitution
of the State of Maryland, it is required that said Act of the
General Assembly as embraced in said Chapter 720 of the Acts
of 1912, as above set forth, shall be published for two months
before the election for members of the House of Delegates next
happening after the passage of said Act, and that it shall also
be approved by a majority of all the members elected to each
House of the General Assembly at its next session after said
election.

AND WHEREAS, In compliance with said Section 54 of Article
3 of the Constitution of Maryland, and in further compliance
with Section 11 of said Chapter 720 of the Acts of 1912, said
Act of the General Assembly of Maryland as embraced in said
Chapter 720 of the Acts of 1912, was published for two months
in the newspapers published in said Calvert County preceding
the election of members of the House of Delegates held on the
4th day of November, 1913; therefore,

Be it Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the said Act of the General Assembly of Maryland as embraced
in Chapter 720 of the Acts of 1912, and as above set forth be
and the same is hereby approved and ratified.
