PHILLIPS LEE GOLDSBOROUGH, GOVERNOR. 1221

SEC. 24. No person shall at any time sell or offer for sale
to any merchant, broker, commission merchant or huckster for
the purpose of shipping out of said County, or ship out of said
County or receive for shipment out of the said County, any
quail, partridge, woodcock, dove, squirrel, rabbit, or duck; but
any person travelling or going out of said County may carry
with him or her as a part of his or her personal passage not
more than twelve quail, or partridge, six rabbits, six woodcock,
six squirrels, six doves or twelve ducks at any one time; pro-
vided that said game, when so carried out of said County, shall
be carried in such manner as to disclose to the public the kind
and quantity of game so carried; in no event shall it be lawful
to carry said game in any quantity or quantities out of said
County for the purpose of sale; but nothing contained herein
shall be construed or held to prevent or forbid any person
killing any such birds or game from selling same to any person
in this County for his or her own private use.

SEC. 24A. No person shall at any time in said County shoot
at or kill any quail, partridge, woodcock, dove, squirrel or rab-
bit, or any kind of water fowl with any other kind of firearm
or gun than such as is habitually raised at arm's length tb the
shoulder.

SEC. 24B. No person shall at any time trap, net or ensnare
any quail, partridge, woodcock, dove, squirrel or water fowl
of any kind or have in his or their possession any trap, net or
snare to be used to capture or kill any such birds, game or
water fowl, and any trap, net or snare which shall be found
upon the land, marsh or waters of any person or persons shall
be deemed prima facie evidence of the ownership and posses-
sion of, and the intent and purpose to capture or kill such birds
or fowls on the part of the owner or tenant of such land, marsh
or waters; and no person shall destroy or molest the eggs or
nest of any of said birds or water fowl at any time.

SEC. 24C. No person shall hunt any quail, partridge or rab-
bit during any closed season with any dog or gun, and no per-
son shall hunt or kill any quail, partridge, woodcock, dove,
squirrel or rabbit with dog or gun, on any Sunday; no person
shall shoot or catch any quail, partridge, woodcock, dove,
squirrel or rabbit when snow is on the ground.

SEC. 24D. Every person who shall be convicted before any
police justice, justice of the peace, or the Circuit Court for
Talbot County for violating Section 23 or Section 24, shall be
