lowed by the designation of the polling place for which it is pre-
pared, the date of the primary election, and a fac-simile of the
signature of the President of the Board of Supervisors of Elec-
tions by whom the official envelopes and ballots for said primary
election have been prepared. Said official envelope shall be
provided with a detachable stub or coupon in the same manner
as is now provided by law for official ballots, and the number
of such envelopes so furnished shall be in number twenty-five
per cent, more than the estimated vote of the several political
parties participating in such primary in such election district
or precinct, as the case may be.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 715.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 51
of Article 33 of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land (Bagby's Code), title "Elections," sub-title "Nomina-
tions."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 51 of Article 33 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland (Bagby's Code), title "Elections," sub-
title, "Nominations," be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

51." Should any persons so nominated die before election day
or decline the nomination, as in this Article provided, or should
any certificate of nomination be or become insufficient or in-
operative from any cause, the vacancy or vacancies thus occa-
sioned may be filled in the manner required for original nomina-
tions. If the original nomination was made by a party conven-
tion which had delegated to a committee the power to fill vacan-
cies, such committee may, upon the occurring of such vacancies
proceed to fill the same; the chairman and secretary of such
committee shall thereupon make and file with the proper officer
a certificate setting forth the cause of the vacancy, the name of
the person nominated, the office for which he was nominated,
the name of the person for whom the new nominee is to be sub-
stituted, the fact that the committee was authorized to fill vacan-
cies and such further information as is required to be given in
