grees, west eight hundred and twenty-five feet to the corner of
Midland Park Association fence, thence north eighty-five de-
grees, east nineteen hundred feet to a red oak tree on George
Sharp's lot, thence north fifty degrees, east four hundred feet
to a locust gate post situated near Robert Izzett's house, on
the road to Dan's Rock; thence north forty-two degrees, west
a distance of one thousand and seventy feet to a pine tree near
Dr. A. G. Smith's residence, and the Georges Creek and Cum-
berland Railroad, thence north fifty degrees, west a distance of
eight hundred and fifty feet to a white oak tree standing near
the Convent; thence due west five hundred and fifty feet to a
pine tree near Squirrel Neck Run; thence south twenty-nine
degrees, west five hundred feet to a locust post on southeast
bank of Georges Creek, and on the near corner of Harry Tay-
lor's lot; thence along the left bank of Georges Creek to the
place of beginning, as shown by survey and plat filed in the
office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Allegany County
on the 18th day of April, 1903, and recorded in Liber No. 92,
folio 492, etc., of the Land Records of Allegany County, which
said map or a copy thereof, properly certified by said Clerk,
under the seal of his office shall be evidence of the boundaries
of said town.

SEC. 184-A 2. The inhabitants of the Town of Midland, who
shall have resided within the corporate limits of said town
for six months preceding any municipal election, and who shall
have the qualifications prescribed for voters by the laws of
this State, and who have been registered as hereinafter pre-
scribed, shall on the second Monday in May, 1914, and on the
same day in every year thereafter at such place as shall be des-
ignated by the judges of the election, between the hours of one
o'clock P. M. and seven o'clock P. M., elect by ballot one per-
son to be Mayor and one person to be Clerk; and at the said
election on the second Monday in May, 1914, the said voters
shall also elect in the same manner two persons to be members
of the Council for two years and also two persons to be mem-
bers of the Council for one year, and the four persons so
elected shall constitute and be the four members of the Coun-
cil, and annually thereafter on the second Monday in May
in the manner above provided, the said voters shall elect two
persons to be members of the Council for two years; and all
persons elected by the people shall hold office until their suc-
cessors shall have been elected and qualified; provided, that
the present officers of the Town of Midland shall hold office un-
til the first Monday in June, 1914, and until the officers elected
