SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 89.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of
Harford County, Maryland, to dispose of either in whole or in
part a tract of land belonging to Harford County, commonly
known as the "Almshouse Farm," and to convey the same
by deed to the purchaser or purchasers thereof and to turn
the proceeds into the County Treasury to be used for County
purposes as by law directed.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Harford County be
and they are hereby authorized and empowered to sell all or
any part or parts of a tract of land situate lying and being
in the Third Election district of Harford County, known as
the "Almshouse Farm," and to give a good and sufficient deed
for said tract or any part or parts thereof so sold, to the pur-
chaser or purchasers thereof; and be it further provided that
the proceeds derived from the sale of said tract or any part or
parts thereof be turned over to the County Treasurer of Har-
ford County, to be deposited in his name as such Treasurer
and to be disposed of as by law directed.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 90.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Section 159 of
Article 77 of the Code of Public Civil Laws (1912), entitled
"Public Education," as said Section was enacted by Section
130, Chapter 269, of the Acts of 1902.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 159 of Article 77, of the Code of Public
Civil Laws (1912), entitled "Public Education," be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, so as
to read as follows:
