manner prescribed in Sections 52, 53, 54 and 55. The Clerk
shall only charge fifty cents for recording such oath or affirma-
tion.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 615.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and Council of
Hagerstown, through the Board of Street Commissioners to
furnish electricity to the citizens of Washington County for
both light and power purposes, or either of the same, from
the city's municipal electric light plant.

CHAPTER 616.

AN ACT to authorize the Board of Public Works of the State
of Maryland to build or buy a guard boat for Herring Bay
to guard the waters of said locality.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of Public Works of the State of Mary-
land is hereby authorized and directed to build or buy a boat
to guard the waters of Herring Bay in order to protect the
oyster interests of said locality.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the sum of fifteen
hundred dollars ($1,500), or so much thereof as may be
necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated, and that the
Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay, upon the warrant of
the Comptroller, the said sum of money, upon the order of the
Board of Public Works, for the purposes hereinbefore set forth.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
