for the violation thereof, as said Committee may deem proper,,
which regulations shall be enforced by or through said Com-
mittee.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That said members of the
Chevy Chase Citizens' Committee, for the purpose of making
contracts or otherwise incurring liabilities in the performance
of the duties provided by this Act, shall be considered in law
as a corporation, and are not to be held individually or. per-
sonally liable in connection therewith.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That the Treasurer of
said village of Chevy Chase shall deposit all funds coming into-
his hands as such, in accordance with the requirements of law,
for the deposit of County funds by the County Treasurer, or in
some other bank approved by the Citizens' .Committee; provided,
that the Treasurer of said village of Chevy Chase shall not dis-
pose of any of the funds coming into his hands as such Treas-
urer, and countersigned by the Chairman or some member of
the said Committee acting as Chairman pro tem in his absence.
Such acting Chairman shall be duly authorized to act by reso-
lution of said Committee, which must be first placed upon the
minutes of the Committee to be provided therefor.
SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That the Chevy Chase
Citizens' Committee shall have power to enter into a contract in
writing with the Chevy Chase Club, a corporation organized
under the laws of the District of Columbia, or ratify or confirm
and assume the obligations under an existing contract entered
into in compliance with the provisions of Chapter 383 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1910, authorizing
special levies for the village of Chevy Chase for the payment by
said Club of the sum of $1,000 annually for a period of ten years
from the year 1912, and for the payment of- $2,000 annually by
said Club for the additional period of fifteen years, the said
sums to be used and expended by said Chevy Chase Citizens'
Committee for the aforesaid purposes in the said village of
Chevy Chase, in consideration of the use and enjoyment of the
streets and roadways of said village of Chevy Chase.
SEC. 10. And be it further enacted, That Chapter 383 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1910, authorizing
special levies for the village of Chevy Chase, be and the same
is hereby repealed, in so far as the same may apply to that
part of the village of Chevy Chase described herein.
