LAWS OF MARYLAND.

sors, be and are hereby declared to be a body cor-
porate, by and under the name and title of the
Trustees of the Parsonage House of the German
Reformed Church in Emmittsburg, and under such
name and title to hold said Parsonage House and
lot of ground, and to have all such other powers
as are or may be necessary to carry into effect this

act.

Duty of Trus-
tees.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Trustees
by and under their corporate name, shall hold the
said Parsonage House and lot for the use of the
several congregations now composing the Emmitts-
burg charge of the German Reformed Church, the
Emmittsburg German Reformed Congregation and
Millerstown German Reformed Congregation, and
with full powers to sell and convey the same when
authorised so to by a majority of the members
composing the said several congregations, voting
at any election held for that purpose, and to dis-
tribute the proceeds, arising from such sale either
to the Consistories of the congregations interested,
in proportion to their original investments in said
house and lot, or in such other manner as the said
Consistories may direct.

Vacancy in
Board of Trus-
tees — how fill-
ed.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That when any va-
cancy shall occur among the members of the trus-
tees, by death, resignation or otherwise, his or
their place shall be filled by an election held in
said several congregations in which the vacancy or
vacancies may occur, and the person or persons re-
ceiving a majority of the qualified votes of such
congregation or congregations cast at such election
shall be elected trustee or trustees to fill such va-
cancy or vacancies, and shall hold the property
subject to the same trusts as the original trustees
incorporated by this act.

In force.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
