AN ACT to appropriate a certain sum. of money
for the benefit of the First Regiment of the
Potomac Home Brigade.
|
Appropriation
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of twenty-six hundred
and twenty-seven dollars and seventy-eight cents,
be and the same is hereby appropriated to defray
the expense incurred in the purchase of India Rub-
ber Blankets and cap Covers for the First Regiment
of the Potomac Home Brigade, and that the State
Treasurer shall upon the warrants of the Comp-
troller of the Treasury, pay to Lewis Ramsburg,
Secretary of the Frederick Town Savings Institu-
tion, the sum of thirteen hundred and thirteen
dollars and eighty-nine cents, and to Andrew Hen-
derson, Secretary of the Franklin Savings Bank,
the like sum of thirteen, hundred and thirteen
dollars and eighty-nine cents, in full of said sum
of twenty-six hundred and twenty-seven dollars
and seventy-eight cents.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to provide for the filling of vacancies in
office by the Governor, in all cases not other-
wise provided by the Constitution and Laws of
this State.

of Maryland, That in all cases of vacancies in office
which now exist or may hereafter exist, for the
filling of which no provision has been made by
