Sec. 15. And be it enacted, That should it so
happen from any cause whatever, that the annual
election of Directors, should not take place in any
year, on the day hereinbefore mentioned for that
pupose, this company shall not for that reason fee
dissolved, but such election may be lawfully held
on such convenient day thereafter, as may for that
purpose be fixed by the President and Directors,
they causing ten days notice thereof, to be given
in the manner hereinbefore provided for.

Sec. 16. And be it enacted, That the persons
named in the first section, shall be and they are
hereby constituted the first Board of Directors,
and snail serve as such until the election of their
successors, as hereinbefore provided for.

CHAPTER 281.

 

AN ACT to provide for the restoration of the
records and papers destroyed or injured by fire,
in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Baltimore county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That, James L. Ridgely, James J.
Given and Joseph J. Stewart, be and they are
hereby appointed Commissioners of Records, for
the purpose of restoring and re-establishing such
of the records and indexes, and papers and dock-
ets, in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Baltimore county, as have been either wholly
or partially destroyed by fire; each of whom, be-
fore he enters upon the duties required and autho-
rized by this act, shall take and subscribe the fol-
lowing oath or affirmation, before some Judge of a
Court of Record in said county,, which oath or
affirmation certified by the said Judge, shall be
recorded among the proceedings of the said com-
