AN ACT to add a new section to Article eighty-
one of the Code of Public General Laws, in re-
lation ,to the duties of State's Attorneys, to come
in after section-eighty-three of said Article.

SECTION 1. No Attorney prosecuting such action
as provided for in the next preceding section, shall ;
receive any part of the money thus sued for, ex-
cept the fees allowed by law ; under a penalty of a
fine of not less than one thousand dollars, nor
more than five thousand dollars, to be recovered
as other fines and forfeitures are recovered.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this apt shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal an act passed on the twentieth
of June, eighteen hundred and sixty-one, at the
Extra Session of the General Assembly, chapter
seventy-two, entitled, An act to make valid the
qualification of Tench Tilghman, as Major
General of the Second Division of Maryland
Militia.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the act passed on the twentieth
of June, eighteen hundred and sixty-one, chapter
seventy-two, entitled, An act to make valid the
qualification of Tench Tilghman, as Major Gene-
ral of the Second Division of Maryland Militia,
which made valid the qualification of said Tench
Tilghman, as Major General of Second Division
of Maryland Militia, as if he had taken the oath
of office, and qualified within the time required
by the tenth section of the sixty-eighth Article of
the Code of Public General Laws, and the acts of

Repealed.
