the profits realized by the company as they shall
deem expedient ; after reserving such sum as they
shall decide to be reasonable to meet the expenses
of repairs, or the purchase of any articles neces-
sary for the use of said company and also, at the
paying of each dividend of profits, a general state-
ment of the affairs of the company, shall be pre-
pared by the Directors, and kept open for the in-
spection of the stockholders, or any of them, for
the space of ten days after the same shall have
been presented to them.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That this corpora-
tion shall not be permitted to issue any note,
token, device or other evidence of debt, to be used
as currency.

AN ACT to incorporate the German and English
Evangelical Lutheran Congregation of Manches-
ter, Carroll county.
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, application has been made to this Gen-
eral Assembly for aji act of incorporation in be-
half of the German and English Evangelical
Congregation of Manchester, Carroll county,
which may enable . them to manage with conve-
nience their temporal concerns ; therefore,
|
Incorporated.
|
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the present Trustees of the said
Congregation, viz : Jacob Campbell, Michael Rit-
ter, Simon Grammer and William Crurnsine, and
their successors, to be elected agreeably to the
rules, by-laws and regulations of said Congrega-
tion, shall be and are hereby created and declared
to be a body politic and corporate, by the name,
style and title of the Trustees of the German and
English Evangelical Emanuel Church of Man-
