Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the act of As-
sembly, passed at the special April Session of eigh-
teen hundred and sixty-one, chapter eleven, relat-
ing to the issue of small bank notes, be and the
same is hereby repealed.

Repealed.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That no small note
shall be issued or reissued under the provisions of
this act, at any time after the tenth day of May,
eighteen hundred and sixty-four.

Restriction.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the various
banks of this State, be and they are hereby released
from any and all penalties they may have incurred
by the issue of bank notes of a less denomination
than five dollars, subsequent to the passage of the
act of the General Assembly of Maryland, chapter
eleven, entitled, an act to amend the nineteenth
section, relating to Banks, of Article twelve of the
Code of Public General Laws, passed at the special
April Session of eighteen hundred and sixty-one.

Released from
penalties.

Sec. 5. Ajid be it enacted, That the act to in-
corporate the Fell's Point Bank, passed during
the present session, so far as it conflicts with the
provisions of this act, be and the same is hereby
repealed.

Repealed.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

In force.

CHAPTER 139.

 

AN ACT to authorize Ebenezer L. Wailes to set-
tle his account as guardian to Charles A. Wailes,
and to deliver over the estate to his said ward,
and making the said ward answerable for debts,
contracts and liabilities made by the said ward.

Passed Feb.
19, 1862.

WHEREAS, Charles A. Wailes and his guardian,
are anxious that the said ward may receive all
his property and act as a man of full age in re-
lation thereto.
