Sec. 8. Be it enacted, That such sections and
parts of sections of the act to which this is a sup-
plement, as are repugnant to any of the provi-
sions of this act, are hereby repealed.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to aid
the Union Relief Association of Baltimore.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller is hereby au-
thorized to issue a warrant on the Treasurer for
the sum of eight thousand dollars, payable to the
order of the Treasurer of the Union Relief Associa-
tion of Baltimore.
|

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 391.

AN ACT to repeal section ninety-seven of Ar-
ticle eighty-one of the Code of Public General
Laws entitled, "Revenue and Taxes," and to
enact a substitute therefor, so as to provide a
more effectual mode of collecting the taxes upon
the Stocks of Incorporated Institutions.
