powers of the said company, and shall manage
the affairs of the same until the first annual meet-
ing for the election of a Board of Directors, which
shall take place on the first Monday in January
next, after five hundred shares shall have been not
only subscribed, but paid; until which payment
of five thousand dollars, no contract shall be made
for any part of the railway intended to be made
according to the provisions of this act.

Authorized
to lay track in
streets
|
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the Commission-
ers of the town of Easton, be and they are hereby
authorized to permit the President and Directors
of said company to lay down such tracks as they
may desire for the purposes of this act, through
any of the streets of said town, and the Commis-
sioners of the county are also authorized to permit,
if desired by said company, the use of any of the

county roads; provided, that the said company shall
pay annually to the Commissioners of said town,
ten dollars, and to the Commissioners of the coun-
ty, the sum of twenty dollars for the purpose of
keeping said public roads on which said railways
may be located, in due and proper repair.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

of the Government, for the year ending on the
first day of January, eighteen hundred, and
sixty-five.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That for the expenditures in the sup-
port of the Government, for the year ending on the
first day of January, eighteen hundred and sixty-
five, the following sums of money, or so much
thereof as may be necessary, be and the same are
hereby appropriated, that is to say :
