of the Board of Commissioners of Public Schools,
and the balance necessary for the support of the
schools shall be annually estimated and determined
by said Board of Commissioners of Public Schools,
who shall report the same to the County Commis-
sioners, who shall levy annually the sum so esti-
mated and reported upon the assessable property
of Cecil county, to be collected in the same man-
ner as other taxes, and the said school tax, when
so collected, shall be paid over to the Treasurer

aforesaid quarterly; provided, the said levy for
school purposes shall not exceed twenty cents on
the one hundred dollars.

Proviso.

Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal sections fifty-four, fifty-five,
fifty-six and fifty-seven of Article twenty-one of
the Code of Public Local Laws relating to the
Circuit Court for Washington county, and the
manner and times of holding the terms thereof,
and to re-enact the same, with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General, Assembly
of Maryland, That the fifty-fourth, fifty-fifth, fifty-
sixth and fifty-seventh sections of Article twenty-
one of the Public Local Laws, in relation to the
Circuit Court for Washington county, and the
manner and times of holding the terms thereof, be
and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
so as to read as follows :

54. There shall be three regular common law
terms of the Circuit Court for Washington county,
held at Hagerstown; the first of said terms to com-
mence on the first Monday of March, the second
on the fourth Monday of July, and the third on
the second Monday of November in each year; and
