CHAPTER 174.

AN ACT to authorize the Register of Wills of
Cecil county to copy certain records herein men-
tioned, and to make the same evidence as fully to
all intents and purposes as the original records.

Passed Feb.
23, 1864.

WHEREAS, certain Records in the office of the
Register of Wills of Cecil county have become
defaced, and it has become necessary in order to
the preservation of the several matters therein con-
tained to have them copied; therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. B e it enacted by tlie General Assembly
of Maryland, That the said Register of Wills of
Cecil county, be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to make an accurate index of the wills
recorded is said office; of the bonds in said office;
of the Administrator's and Executor's accounts and
releases in said office; of the inventoriss in said
office; and of the indentures in said office.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Register
of Wills shall be paid for performing the labor
herein required, according to the fees allowed by
law, for similar labor in his office, and the County
Commissioners of Cecil county, are hereby author-
ized and directed to levy a sum of money sufficient
for the payment of said Register of Wills for the
labor herein directed to be performed by him.

Compensation.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 175.

 

AN ACT to repeal section sixty-two of Article
seventy-five, Code of Public General Laws,
entitled, Pleadings, Practice and Process, and to
re-enact the same with amendments, so as to
provide a uniform mode for extending interlocu-
tory judgments or judgments by default.

Passed Feb.
23, 1864.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section sixty-two of Article
33
