sold or struck off as aforesaid by my co-partner or
co-partners, or by others in my name, or under my
direction, or for my benefit, within the time men-
tioned in the within account, and of the days upon
which the same were respectively sold; that I have
examined the entries of all the sales mentioned in
said account in the books kept by me for that pur-
pose, and fully believe this account to be correct,
and further, that I have during the time mention-
ed, conformed in all things to the provisions of
law, according to the best of my knowledge and
belief, so help me God; and shall cause a cer-
tificate of the fact that he has taken such oath,
duly signed by said Justice, and a certificate of the
Clerk of the Superior Court, of the official character
of said Justice, to be annexed to said return.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

 

CHAPTER 155.

Passed Feb.
23, 1864.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
to. P. C. Thompson, Collector for the adminis-
tratrix: of William A. Spencer, Esq., deceased,
late Clerk of the Court of Appeals of Maryland,
the amount due to said deceased by the State,
for fees in State cases in said court.

Authorized
to pay.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer, on the warrant
of the Comptroller, shall pay to D. C. Thompson,
Collector for the administratrix of William A.
Spencer, Esq., deceased, late Clerk of the Court of
Appeals of Maryland, the sum of four hundred
and thirty-four dollars and eighty-nine cents, be-
ing the amount of fees due to said deceased by the
State of Maryland in State causes in said court.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act
shall be in force from the date of its final passage.
