CHAPTER 92.

AN ACT to enable the Mayor and Common Coun-
cil of the city of Westminster to enclose an
alley in said city running parallel with Court
street in said city, and sell or otherwise dispose
of the same.

SECTION 1 . And be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland , That the Mayor and Common
Council of the city of Westminster, in Carroll
county, be and they are hereby authorized and
empowered to enclose an alley in said city, run-
ning from the Main street parallel .with Court
street, and within twenty feet of said street, one
hundred and ninety-eight feet to an alley running
parallel with Main street, and to sell and convey
the same, and apply the proceeds thereof to the
use of said city.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after the day of its passage.

AN ACT to amend and re-enact section eight
hundred and eleven and eight hundred and
twelve of the fourth Article of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland, in relation to the
pay of the Police force of the city of Baltimore.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section eight hundred and
eleven, of Article fourth of the- Code of Public
Local Laws, be amended and re-enacted, so as to
read as follows :

811. The pay of an ordinary Policeman shall
be fourteen dollars a week, payable semi-monthly;
and in case the Board shall appoint detective Po-
