be amended and re-enacted so as to read as fol-
lows: There shall be three regular common law
terms of the Circuit Court for Allegany county,
commencing at Cumberland on the first Monday
in January, second Monday in April and the first
Monday in October in each year.

AN ACT to incorporate the Little Meadows Spring
Company.

Passed Feb.
4, 1864.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That W. P. O. Hern, Frank
Mason, Godfrey Berhebile, W. M. F. Magraw,
John T. Ehlen and Thomas H. Frost, of Allegany
county, and such other persons as may be associ-
ated with them hereafter in manner herein pro-
vided, shall be and they are hereby incorporated
and made a body politic, by the name of the Little
Meadows Spring Company, and by that name shall
have succession, and be able and capable to sue
and be sued, to plead and be impleaded, in any
Court of law and equity, and may have and use a
common seal, and the same alter and renew at
pleasure; and the said company shall have all the
powers, privileges and rights necessary for the
purpose of constructing and erecting houses and
baths, and for carrying on, conducting and main-
taining a watering place or summer resort and
place of entertainment, and shall have power to
lease or purchase lands, with their appurtenances,
and to hold all such property, and manage the
same as in their judgment may best conduce to the

company shall at no time own more than two
thousand acres of land; and said company shall
have power, for the purpose aforesaid, to make such
by-laws, rules and regulations as may be neces-
sary; provided, that they be not repugnant to any
law of this State, or of the United States,
