AN ACT to repeal section twelve of an act passed
January session, eighteen hundred and sixty-
four, chapter three hundred and eighty-one enti-
tled, an Act to Incorporate the Merchants' and
Mechanics' Fire , Insurance Company of Balti-
more, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That section twelve of the Act to
Incorporate the Merchant's and Mechanic's Fire
Insurance Company of Baltimore be and the same
is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That no stockholder or oth-
er member of this association, shall be answerable
in his person or his individual property, for any
contracts or agreements of said association, or for
any loss, deficiencies or failures of the capital stock
of this association, but the whole of the capital
stock, together with all property, rights and cred-
its belonging thereunto, and nothing more shall
at any time be answerable for the demand against
the said association.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall be
in effect from the date of its passage.

A Bill entitled, AN ACT to alter and change the
name of Charles Sands to that of Carlos Sales.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That from and after the passage
of this Act the name of Charles Sands, of the city
of Baltimore, be and the same is hereby altered
and changed to that of Carlos Sales.
