obstructions from the same, and prevent encroach-
ments thereon by building or otherwise; and if
any person shall neglect or refuse to remove such
obstructions or nuisances after being notified' by
said Commissioners so to do, the said Commis-
sioners shall have authority to sell the same at
public auction after ten days public notice, to the
highest bidder for cash or on credit, and the pro-
ceeds arising from such sales shall be paid over to
the Treasurer for the benefit of the town, and
nothing herein contained shall be construed to
invalidate in any manner any official acts of the
said Board of Commissioners hitherto done -or
performed under the authority of the sections here-
by altered or amended.

CHAPTER 202.

 

AN ACT to incorporate the Shade Run Coal Oil
and Coal Company.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Henry R. Atkinson, James J.
McHenry and, Elijah Fuller, and such other per-
sons as may become associated with them in the
manner hereinafter provided, shall be and they are
hereby constituted a body corporate and politic by
the name of the Shade Run Coal Oil and Coal
Company, and by that name shall have succession
and be able and capable to sue and be sued in any
court whatever, and may have and use a common
seal, and the [the] same alter and renew at plea-
sure, and shall have and enjoy all the powers, fac-
ulties, franchises and rights necessary and proper
for carrying on the mining of coal, and for the ex-
ploring, excavating and and boring for Petroleum
or Coal Oil, and for working and operating mills
or deposits thereof, and for the transportation to
market and sale of Coal, Petroleum, Coal Oil and
other products of its mines, wells and property,
and the said corporation shall have power and au-
thority to purchase, lease, and hold any rights and
