hundred and five, three hundred and six, three hun-
dred and seven, three hundred and eight, three hun-
dred and nine, three hundred and ten, three hun-
dred and eleven, three hundred and twelve, three
hundred and thirteen, three hundred and four-
teen, three hundred and fifteen, three hundred
and sixteen, three hundred and seventeen, three
hundred and eighteen, three hundred and nine-
teen, three hundred and twenty, three hundred
and twenty-one, three hundred and twenty-two,
three hundred and twenty-three, three hundred
and twenty-four, three hundred and twenty-five,
three hundred and twenty-six, three hundred and
twenty-seven, three hundred and twenty-eight and
three hundred and twenty-nine, of Article four of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore city,
entitled, "Fish," and the sections enacted by the
act of eighteen hundred and sixty-four, chapter
three hundred and sixty-nine, be and the same
are hereby repealed, and the following sections
relating to the inspection of salted fish in the city
of Baltimore, be enacted in lieu thereof, to be ar-
ranged under the head of ''Fish," in said Article:

363

293. The Governor, by and with the advice
and consent of the Senate, shall bi-annually ap-
point an Inspector of salted fish in the city of Bal-
timore.

294. The Inspector so appointed, shall enter
into bond to the State of Maryland, with good and
sufficient securities to be appro ved of and retained
by the Treasurer, in the penal sum of two hundred
dollars conditioned for the true and faithful dis-
charge of his duties as Inspector.

295. It shall be the duty of said Inspector to
inspect all salted fish except such as have been in-
spected agreeably to the laws of the county or
State from which they came.

Duty.

296. The said Inspector shall receive for the
inspection of each barrel, half barrel, or tierce of
herrings, five cents; for each barrel, half barrel or
tierce of shad, fifteen cents; and for each kit, or
quarter barrelof herrings or shad, three cents.

Compensation.

297. All coppers who maybe engaged in the
re-cooperage of fish during the time of inspection,
shall be under the control of the Inspector, who
