SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Isaac S Jones, Thomas
Poultney, Jr., and George N. Moale, their associ-
ates, successors and assigns, be and they are hereby
created a body corporate by the name and style of
the McHenry Oil Company, and by that name
shall have perpetual succession, and shall be capa-
ble in law to hold and dispose of property, real,
personal or mixed, fee simple or leasehold, to sue
and be sued, plead and be impleaded, to answer
and defend and be answered and defended, in any
courts of law and equity, and in any other place
whatsoever, to receive and make deeds and con-
tracts, to make, have and use a common seal, and
the same to change, alter and renew at pleasure,
to ordain and establish such by-laws, ordinances
and regulations as may appear necessary for regu-
lating the concerns of said corporation, not being
contrary to this act, to have and use all the powers,
privileges and rights proper and necessary in
Baltimore city or county, or Anne Arundel couuty
or either, in the manufacture and refining of coal
oil, petroleum or other carbonaceous substances,
for producing, burning and lubricating oils, gases
and greases, to purchase and sell all kinds of oil,
whether crude or not, and for the purpose of obtain-
ing oil, to buy or hire engines, lease or buy land in
this and other States, to own or hire vessels, cars,
live stock, wagons, and the same to sell and dis-
pose of, and generally to do all such acts and things
as would be proper and necessary to procure oil,
