SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the President, Managers and
Company of the Baltimore and Yorktown Turn-
pike Road be and they are hereby authorized and
empowered to charge and collect from each pas-
senger iq any car or vehicle on said railway, not
more than thirty cents fare, as toll for the whole
distance between the city limits and Towsontown,
and not more than six cents local fare for each
mile or fraction thereof each way-passenger may
travel on any portion of the railway of the said
company.

Sec. 2, And be it further enacted, That so much
of the original and supplemental acts herein re-
ferred to, as are inconsistent with the provisions of
this act, be and the game are hereby repealed.

Repealed.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect, from the day of its passage.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to the
Home of the Friendless.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treas-
ury be and he is hereby authorised and required
to draw his warrant on the Treasurer of the State
for the sum of one thousand dollars in favor of the
Home of the Friendless.
