FARDY & AULD,
AND
STEAM MARINE RAILWAYS.
The undersigned, with their enlarged facilities and
experience in their business, are now prepared to build
Vessels and fit them out complete for sea as good and in
a shorter time than is usually accomplished in any part
of this or any other country. Vessels of 100 tons we will
contract to build in 30 days; of 150 tons in 60 days; 200
tons in 90 days, of the best materials, and of model com-
bining strength, beauty and speed.
They have also in connection with their Ship Yard
two Marine Railways, one by Steam, by which they haul up Vessels of every
class, from 12 to 300 tons,—with every facility to do any kind of Repairs, with
cheapness and dispatch.
Owners of the smaller class of Steamboats will find it convenient as well as
economical to do their repairs at our Railways, as they are located nearest to the
Machine and Foundry Establishments on the South side of the Basin. They have
also a long Wharf, where the longest Steamboat can lie free of wharfage while
undergoing repairs.
