Via Portsmouth, Va., Weldon, N. C., and Wilmington,, N. C., to

CHARLESTON, S. C., and thence to NEW ORLEANS.

CHESAPEAKE BAY & PORTSMOUTH LINE

Respectfully inform the Travelling Public that their Line is now in good order;

GEORGIA, JEWESS, HERALD,
Capt. COFFEY, Capt. SUTTON, Capt. RUSSELL.

Their Boats unsurpassed in the United States. The REPAIRS of the PORTS-
MOUTH RAIL ROAD being completed, enables the Companies to offer to the
Traveller a CHEAP, COMFORTABLE, SAFE AND EXPEDITIOUS LINE
to the South; running the following Schedule, avoiding the possibility of 24
hours' detention at Weldon, which is often the case with the Line via Washington.

SCHEDULE

Leave Spear's Wharf, Baltimore daily, except Sundays, at 4 o'clock, P. M. in
one of the above Boats. Arrive in Portsmouth at 7, A. M. Leave Portsmouth
at 8, A. M. Arrive at Wilmington next day at 12, M., and Charleston, S. C. at
7, A.M.

Passengers for RICHMOND or PETERSBURG, Va., RALEIGH or FAY-
ETTEVILLE, N. C., and by Lynchburg to the West, wilt find this route not only
the most comfortable, but the cheapest and most expeditious.

Including Meals on board of Chesapeake Bay Boats.
From Baltimore to Norfolk and Portsmouth, Va. ... $6

" Charleston, S. C. . . . . . .21

The EASE and COMFORT of this Line, NO LOSS OF SLEEP, and but
FEW CHANGES,, will induce the traveller to take this route.
Passengers by this line will please hand their checks to an Agent in the
Cars, or to the Norfolk Steamboat Porter, (Norfolk Boat label on his hat,) in the
Ticket Office Yard, who will attend to their baggage.
