J. SCOTT informs his numerous friends and customers, from the different parts of
the continent, that he is prepared to furnish those who may want a perfect FIRE and.
ROBBER-PROOF IRON CHEST, warranted to stand four times as much fire as any
other now made in this, or tuny other country, His stock consists of all sizes and
qualities.

The Robber-Proof cannot be Picked or Opened,

even by their own. key, without instructions, and which will be guarantied in the sum
of $500. Those who may want a safeguard against Fire and Robbers, cannot be bet-
ter supplied in any other place: they have Droved themselves to be what they are called,

FIRE AND ROBBER-PROOFS:

They have been tested in the different large fires, where they have been subjected to
the most intense heat. In the cities of New York, Boston, Philadelphia., Baltimore,
Richmond, Washington City. Charleston, Mobile, New Orleans., St. Louis, Cincinnati,
and in a number of other towns in and out of the Union. The results are set forth in the
most satisfactory manner,

N. B. Another test of the superiority of my Patent Asbestos over Mr. Wilder's best
Salamanders, took place in Exchange Place in March last, all the papers, books, &,c.
being taken from my Chest perfect, while all in Mr. Wilder's Chest were consumed ;
as proved by a Committee of Citizens, whose certificate the Patentee, JOHN SCOTT.
