THE HYGEIST,

Is contained in the following propositions, viz:

I. The vital principle is contained in the blood.

II. Blood makes blood.

III. Every thing in the body is derived from the blood.

IV. All constitutions are radically the same.

V. All diseases arise from the impurity of the blood, or in other.
words, from the acrimonious humors lodged in the body.

VI. This humor which degenerates the blood has three sources
—the maturnine, the contagious, and the personal.

VII. Pain and disease have the same origin: and may there-
fore be considered synonymous terms.

VIII. PURGATION by the VEGETABLE UNIVERSAL MEDICINES,
or other similar purgatives, is the only effectual mode of eradi-
cating disease.

IX.. From the intimate connection subsisting between the mind
and the body, the health of one must conduce to the serenity of
the other. The above medicines may always be obtained at the
