COLORED POPULATION— The Board of Police

   

of Baltimore city vested with all the

   

powers of a single constable and

   

Justice of the Peace of this State in

   

the several counties, by the 66th ar-

   

ticle of the code of General Law in

   

regard to free negroes and mulatoes,

CECIL COUNTY— The president and commis-

   

sioners of the village of Port Depos-

   

it in, to have the power to pass or-

   

dinances regulating the market, the

   

inspection, measurement, and weight

   

of all provisions sold in and to be

   

consumed in said village ; to sup-

   

press all disorderly meetings, to

   

.prevent firing guns, squibs, or any
kind of fire-arms or fire-works in

   

said village ; to suppress and abate

   

all nuisances ; to prevent swine,

   

ducks, and geesefrom going at large;

   

to prevent any immoderate driving

   

or riding through the streets in any

   

carriage, stage, cart, wagon or oth-

   

er vehicle, or on horseback, so as to

   

endanger the lives or limbs or, prop-

   

erty of the citizens of said village,

   

or disturb the quiet enjoyment of the

   

streets and thoroughfares ; and to

   

prevent the parading and indecent

   

exhibition of any stud horse through

   

the streets, and may impose fines

   

not exceeding ten dollars for any of-

   

fence, on any person violating said

   

ordinances.
