Miss Marguerite O'Hara, Secretary,
Board of School Commissioners,
Baltimore, Maryland,
Dear Miss O'Hara :

On behalf of the Association for the Handicapped, I wish to thank the Board of School
Commissioners and you for the Improvements recommended to be made in Schools 109, 127
and 131.

I do not believe we are asking too much when we request you to send us a copy of the
improvements recommended and to be expected. I am sure you will agree that we are displaying
only the interest one would normally expect from our association, all of whom are tax-payer &. I
feel, therefore, no embarrassment in requesting and certainly the School Commissioners will not
feel embarrassed in sending us a copy of the recommendations of the Business Division relative
to the aforementioned schools.

Very truly yours,

W. A. C. HUSHES, JR.
wach-w

The Association for the Handicapped submits these two letters as typical examples of the type
of work they do throughout the year. We are happy to report to the citizens of Baltimore that through
our persistent efforts, the above named schools are now being renovated and improved. Though we
shall not be satisfied until we secure modern school buildings for thest unfortunate children, we are
very pleased that they will not be subjected to the same unhealthy, surroundings which they were
forced to face last year.
